Visiting an antique fair in Lyon France, I found this unusual machine base...It sat in a corner supporting a piece of graying plywood and stacks of uninteresting clay flower pots. Though I could see only a corner of the table, I knew the aesthetic was unusual "Whimsical Meets Industrial" to add an architectural element to design, I commissioned limestone top with a perimeter blood grove. Our in-house artisan then added distressing and antiquing to the stone to create a worn compatibility with base.
